BEALE
The final score did not truly reflect the game as our senior footballers came up short against Brosna in round 2 of the North Kerry League, Division 1, in Ballybunion on Sunday. Despite blustery, wintery conditions, both teams served up some good football in a hard fought battle. Our team lined out a mixture of youth and experience, working well together. Very little separated the teams on the field of play and we trailed by just two points at the interval, 2-2 to 2-4. We levelled with a goal in the eighth minute and it was tit for tat for most of the second half. With five minutes remaining, we were just a point adrift and desperately seeking that elusive equaliser. However, it was our opponents who finished stronger and we ended up five points adrift at the final whistle, 3-8 to 3-3.
