THIS game between The Park and Killarney Celtic was a vital one as both sides started out six points behind leaders Killorglin, but with two games to play.

Emmanuel Manu put the Park ahead mid-way through the first half with a cracking finish. But just before the break Killarney Celtic were level from a Pádraig O’Donoghue strike.

Into the second half and it was the Park that scored twice with Manu completing his hat-trick. If the Park can beat Listowel Celtic in their final League game they will force a play-off with Killorglin for the title.

Division 1

KILLIORGLIN B played the first game in a busy weekend of games in the division and their three points moved them up to second place.

They defeated Tralee Dynamos 4-3 thanks to goals from Jessie O’Reilly (two), Matt Spillane and Ryan O’Connor. Eoin Flaherty (two) and Rory O’Halloran replied for Dynamos.

But they were unable to add another three points on Saturday when they went down 3-2 away at Killarney Celtic B. Cian O’Brien Jessie O’Reilly got the Killorglin goals. For Killarney Celtic B who are still fighting for a top four spot the goals came from Oisin Fleming, Joe McCarthy from the penalty spot and Cian Egan.

Castleisland still lead the way, but have dropped their first points in nine games after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Tralee Dynamos.

It looked good for a ninth Castleisland win as they went 2-2 up thanks to goals from Finn Nolan and Evan Brennan. But credit to the Dynamos as they fought back to draw the game with their goals coming from Rory O’Halloran and Pierce Lowth.

Dingle Bay Rovers are in a battle for second place and they now have a two point gap over Inter Kenmare after a close call away at Camp Juniors.

The West Kerry side led 2-0 with goals from Cian McGearrailt and Joe Linnane. Paudie Fitzgerald pulled one back for Camp.

Division 2 North

ST Brendan’s Park C finished their season with the perfect record of eight wins from eight played and have been crowned champions.

Their latest win came over their clubmates on the Park B side with the Cs winning 5-1.

The Bs have one game left where a point would see them take the runners-up spot. Should Fenit win that game they will take the runners-up spot.
