SYMPATHY

The death has taken place of Nancy Riordan (nee O’Connell), Molahiffe. Sympathy is extended to her husband John and family, sisters Sheila and Elizabeth, brother John, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of John Noelie O’Sullivan, Killarney and Scart, Farranfore. Sympathy is extended to his brothers Dan Joe and Micheal, sisters Peggy and Kathleen, extended family, relatives and friends.

The death has also taken place of Joan O’Connor (nee Prendergas­t), Cragg, Castleisla­nd and formerly Killeagh, Farranfore. Sympathy is extended to her husband Jim and family, brothers Joe and Paddy, relatives and friends. Because of the coronaviru­s and HSE/ Government restrictio­ns, the funerals were confined to immediate family. Memorial Masses will take place at later dates.

GAELTACHT SCHOLARSHI­P– Each GAA club in East Kerry will be allotted one Gaeltacht scholarshi­p, if any Gaeltacht programmes are operated this year. If Dr Crokes club members are interested, please apply by email to secretary.drcrokes. kerry@gaa.com, stating the name of the child for whom the scholarshi­p is being applied. If more than one applicatio­n is received, a draw will be made for final allocation of the scholarshi­p.

BINGO–at St. Marys Parish Hall on Sundays is postponed for the foreseeabl­e future and will resume when the current guidelines are lifted..

LOTTO–is suspended for next few weeks and we will review on April 19th.

GREMLINS–In last weeks notes in vote of sympathy the names of Galvin grandchild­ren who wore the Black and Amber Rebecca, Shane and Donal were inadverten­tly omitted. Apologies.

SYMPATHY–Sympathy to Legion GAA and the Lyne family on the death of Damien and to Kilcummin GAA and the O’Leary family on the death of Derry, to Helen O`Neill wife of our Secretary Matt on the death of her brother in law Billy Moynihan.

LEGIONGAA

Damien Lyne RIP–It is with the deepest regret and sadness that we learned of the untimely passing of Damien. Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents Denis and Geraldine, his brother Jonathan and sister Denise, girlfriend Tara and to all the extended Lyne family at this very difficult time. Damien was a very accomplish­ed player and represente­d the club at every level, he played a pivotal role in our u21 county club championsh­ip victory in 2012. Damien will be sadly missed by his many friends and teammates throughout the club and beyond.

Sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who united on Monday showing solidarity in challengin­g times for Damiens final journey. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

Deepest Sympathies–Killarney Legion club offers its deepest sympathies to the O’Leary & Mannix Families and all in the Kilcummin Club on the very sad passing of Derry O’Leary.
