BUD’S F.R.C:

(1) Meals on Wheels: Bud’s has a Meals on Wheels Home Delivery Service covering Ballyduff and many surrounding parishes. We also have a Pick up collection service from the Centre. Please contact us on (066)714 8883 for Daily Menu at a Cost of €6. We are HSE approved to serve a special dietary menu to customers.

(2) Bud’s Counselling for Adults and Children Appeal: We here in Bud’s for the pass 20 years have provided Free of charge counselling session for people in need of this service locally. It is a Private and Confidential Service. We received a grant every year but due to the Celtic Tiger Crash Recession our grant funding was halved but thankfully we are still receiving it. The way the funding is used is we continue free counselling sessions and as soon as the money runs out we we wait until the next years allocation. We do seek counselling through other suitable organisations and make referrals. Sometimes we notice people donate money to different worthwhile organisations but if you would think of us we would be grateful and thankful as the demands continue to grow on this service which includes Children’s Counselling and Play Therapy. Please join us when you can. Your donation today will help us provide free counselling therapy service. Thank you

(3) Update and Thank You: We here in Bud’s would like to thank the generosity of people in Ballyduff and surrounding area who have and still support our donation appeal that help us to fill Food Hampers for those in need and struggling. Don’t ever think we forget, because we do not, and that’s why you need to know how much we appreciate your continued support. Thank you all on behalf of the people and families you support.

BALLYDUFF GAA

This week our sympathies are extended to the families of Mike McCarthy, Ardfert and late of Clahane, Ballyduff and Mossie Spillane of Tralee.Mike McCarthy was born in Clahane and played underage Hurling with Ballyduff. He won medals at under 14,15,16 and Minor and was on the first team to represent Ballyduff in the inaugural Feile na NGael held in Thurles in 1971. When Ballyduff won back to back County Minor Hurling Championships in 1972 and 1973 he played at wing back. Mike’s carreer was cut short and though wheelchair bound for many years he could be seen in Austin Stack Park, Fitzgerald Stadium or Croke Park supporting the Kerry Football team. Mike never lost his roots and always supported his native Ballyduff in their County Senior Hurling Championship endevours through the years. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

We first came in contact with Mossie Spillane in Caherslee GAA ground and Austin Stack Park where we were always met with a smile that helped to lighten the mood on match days. Mossie could deal with situations in a calm efficient manner and he will certainly be missed on match days. We wonder when he meets up with Vince up above what will
