parents Brendan and Ena, his father in law Martin, sister-in-law Ann, Aunt-in-law Margaret along with uncles and aunts and other close family relatives created a huge void in a short time frame of their lives.

His love of family life, work, fishing, soccer, following Munster Rugby were his passions in life where he made a huge amount of friendship­s through these activities. He was in every sense of the phrase “one of life’s true gentlemen” as he would bend over backwards to help a person. However on father’s day (June 21st last) life dramatical­ly changed as the man who was friends to everybody took a bad turn at home and was transferre­d to hospital where his condition became more serious over the following hours.

Sadly and unimaginab­ly Mike O’ Neill left our midst on Tuesday June 23rd which has left his family and everybody that knew him shocked and numbed to the core. A young man of only 53yrs his all too short life will be forever cherished and remembered by those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. To his heartbroke­n family of beloved wife Katherina, daughters Katie, Molly, Fiona and son Martin. his mother-in-law Noreen (Lynch), brothers Jim (Cloyne, Co. Cork), Brendan (Gneeveguil­la), Brian (Ballybunio­n), Paudie (Castlegreg­ory), sisters Norma (Duagh), Catherina (Glencar), Aunt and god-mother Ann Costello, Aunts Theresa Canavan (Listowel), Mary Hayes (Tralee), Noreen Buckley (Cork), Peggy O’Carroll (London), Uncle John Flavin (Clare) brotherssi­sters-in-law, nieces, nephews, God-children Lorraine Costello, Colm and Emma O’ Neill and Oisin Healy, Ballymacke­ssy neighbours, Family relatives, very special friends Peter Stack and Laura Denihan and large circle of friends we extend our sincere and deepest sympathies may the sod of Lislaugtin Abbey rest lightly on you gentle soul our great friend.
