GO GAMES
The U11s had their first Go Games match of the season hosting Causeway on Saturday evening at Pairc Namoh Erc. Although a strong breeze made playing conditions difficult, both sides put in great displays with some fine scoring.Féile na GaelWell done to the U15s who qualified for the Féile na Gael B final following a 4-11 to 1-06 win over Causeway on Thursday. Once again playing conditions were difficult for both sides but the effort and skills on show were to be admired.
The first half was a low scoring even affair with the halftime score Kilmoyley 2.03 Causeway 1.06.A superb second half defensive performance by the home side saw them keep their opponents scoreless as they added 2.08 to their tally and secure their place in the final. This was an excellent display by Kilmoyley and they will be looking for another against Ballyduff in the final on Saturday. Ballyduff are also unbeaten this year and will be looking to add the B title to their 2023 A title. It promises to be an exciting game and is part of a Féile finals double-header at Abbeydorney starting at 5pm. Best of luck lads.
SENIORS
It was a busy weekend for the seniors with two County league fixtures. On Friday, they travelled to Ballyduff and despite scoring 1-18 they came home empty handed in a high scoring game. A late Daniel Collins goal was not enough to save the day but there were plenty of positives to take from this entertaining game, considering the terrible weather and playing conditions recently.Sunday’s game away to Lixnaw ended prematurely with the match being abandoned. The seniors are due to play Ballyheigue this Friday in the next round of the league.
