Our tour guide will be Donal O’Sullivan, we will be stopping in Cahirciveen then on to Valentia Island and the Slate Quarry, the Transatlantic Cable Museum and The Skellig Experience Visitors Centre. The Abbeydorney Kilflynn Care Group Summer outing to Killarney will take place on Sunday 9th June. Bus will leave both villages @ 11.30. Cost €40 per person.

The Abbeydorney Bord na nOg Split the Bucket draw was held on Friday night 17th May in the Sports Complex. The jackpot was €552, €276 to the winner Nicola Walsh, Abbeydorney and €276 to Abbeydorney Bord na nOg. A huge thanks to all who supported the draw. Next draw will be held on Friday May 31st.

DEATH
Sincere sympathy to the family of the late Brigid McEnery who was the District Nurse in Abbeyfeale and married to the late David who taught in the Desmond College NCW for many years. Brigid is remembered fondly by all the people she looked after over the years. Her funeral took place on Tuesday. May she rest in peace.

On 23 May, the Council for Life of the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference will launch a nineday Pray for Life Novena which will run until Friday 31 May which falls on the Feast of the Visitation. The Council for Life invites all to sign up at prayforlife.ie in order to receive daily prayers and actions that will focus on themes such as expectant mothers and fathers, unborn children, for those who defend life and for an end to abortion.
