Scholarship honours for St Brigid’s students
SEVERAL BEGIN THIRD LEVEL ON HIGH NOTE
ST BRIGID’S Presentation College in Killarney is celebrating an impressive 2012 with several students receiving Entrance Scholarships to third level courses and other deserving awards.
Several students at the Killarney school excelled in their Leaving Certs and are pursuing their chosen careers at third level colleges in Ireland.
Amongst these are Niamh Quirke and Irene Sullivan who both received scholarships to University College Dublin and both past pupils are now studying Zoology.
Cliodhna O'Donoghue received an entrance exhibition award from Trinity College Dublin and is now studying radiation therapy.
Sarah Murray received a scholarship from University of Limerick where she is studying Physiotherapy. Edith Lucey received an entrance scholarship award from the National University of Ireland, Maynoot, and is studying music technology. Also receiving an entrance scholarship, Eimear Foley is studying medicine in NUIG.
Meanwhile, Maureen Kelliher received the ‘ Fergal Quinn Award’ for obtaining top credits in the Leaving Cert Applied 2012 and Maureen now hopes to pursue a career in hairdressing.
The above are just some of the pupils who excelled in 2012 and many other students are now embarking on third level courses in various colleges throughout Ireland.
