Congratulations to Niamh Fitzgerald, daughter of Pat and Lily Fitzgerald, Slahig and Aidan O'Sullivan, son of Breda and Seamus O'Sullivan Cahersiveen who have announced their engagement; To Eileen Fitzgerald, daughter of Mary and the late Jim, Granafulla and Mark Teeling who have also become engaged. We wish both couples every happiness.

DEATHS

Hannah O'Connor, nee Daly, formerly of Islandboy died peacefully at her home in Coomleigh on Christmas Eve morning. Her remains were removed from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home to Our Lady of The Valley Church on Christmas Day night. Fr John Kerin P.P. celebrated her Funeral Mass at 12 noon on St. Stephen's Day at which Roisin Ryan played and sang. Hannie is survived by her sons Sean, Denis and Paul, daughters Máire and Nóirín, sister Breda Clifford of Shanaknock, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends to whom we offer our sincere sympathy. She was laid to rest in St. Finian's Cemetery along with her husband Denis who died last September.
