Awards that were presented on the night were Club Person of the Year John C O'Shea, Supporter of the Year Brendan Harnett, Footballer of the Year Colm Cooper Junior Player of the Year Sean Coppinger Young Player of the Year Gavin O'Shea & Hurler of the Year Mike O'Keeffe. AGM will be held on Wednesday January 16 in Clubhouse a number of outgoing officers have indicated that they are not seeking re-election so we urge careful consideration be given to their replacements. MOUTHGUARDS and the GAA Boil and Bite Mouthguards are available in the Clubshop or can be ordered from Terry @ 085-8426667 Following the GAA's Annual Congress in April 2012 a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 (for all age grades up to and including minor) and at U21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014. CLOTHES BANK there is a clothes bank now permanently located at the rear of the clubhouse. Any old clothes, no longer required, can be deposited in bags at all times. As well as providing valuable funding to our juvenile section, proceeds from the bank also go towards the ISPCC.The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) is Ireland's oldest and most well-known children's charity whose vision is 'To see an Ireland where all children are heard and valued'. “THE KINGDOM KNOCKOUT” Kerry GAA Fundraising White Collar Boxing Night INEC Saturday January 5th 2013 As part of a fundraising venture to train Kerry teams, Kerry GAA are staging a white collar boxing event in the INEC Killarney on Saturday 5th Jan 2013 with current and past Kerry players both football and hurling, club players, referees and others taking part. Specialised boxing coaches are presently engaged in coaching the participants in the finer arts of the sport in Fitzgerald Stadium, Ballyduff Boxing Club and in Cork. Progress is being monitored closely to decide on the match-ups on the night. Bouts will be of three one and a half minute rounds. Doors open at 7pm. admission is by ticket only and the ticket options are as follows Reserved Ringside seating €25, General Adult €20, Child €10 Family (2 adult + 2 children) €50.
