Harvey Norman goes hi-tech with new store

-

NINE years after first opening its doors in Tralee, Harvey Norman has unveiled its new look store at Monor West Retail Park which was specifically designed to make it more interactive for customers.

On Wednesday last, staff and customers were joined by company CEO Blaine Callard to officially launch the new shop, which employees almost 40 employees, some of whom have been working in the store since it opened in 2006.

Speaking at the launch, Computers Manager Joe O’Driscoll explained taht the company had made a huge investment in the store.

“We have designed the store in such a way that it’s more interactive for customers. We can now run cooking demonstrations, give full camera and computer demonstrations, customers can come in and print their photos from their phone or Facebook account, and we can even make you a cup of coffee while you wait for your photos to print. It’s a truly interactive retail space,” he said.

“One of the highlights is the LoveTech service bay, whereby if you buy a new computer or tablet and you are a little unsure about the technology, we can set everything up for you at LoveTech before you take the new laptop or tablet home. If your laptop is running a little slow you can bring it in to us here and we’ll get it back running as it should. So not only do we sell fantastic products but now we have a service to demo and set up your technology – offering even more services under one roof.”
