Pairings decided for U16

THE pairings are decided, for the Division 2, 3 and 4 finals in the MD O’Shea East Region Under 16 League.

Last week Glenflesk reached the Division 2 semi-final and travelled to Listry where Listry / Keel proved the stronger on the night. This means that Gneeveguil­la host Listry / Keel on Tuesday night in the Division 2 Final, with the home team reaching the final having topped the league table.

The Division 3 final sees Beaufort welcome Fossa on Thursday evening. Throw in is at 7pm and there will be extra-time if necessary in all finals. The Division 4 final, Kilgarvan / Tousist V Dr Crokes B, will be played in Kilgarvan date to be confirmed.

Kerry Post Primary Schools 2017

PS Inver Sceine Kenmare defeated Colaiste Na Sceilge in the Kerry Under 15 B football final on Friday.

The game was played in Fitzgerald Stadium with the playing surface in superb shape. Both teams set up in attacking formations with great scoring by both sides the large attendance appreciate­d the effort and commitment by all players. Congratula­tions to PS Inver Sceine management and players on securing victory in a fantastic final.

St Brendan’s College First Years played Tralee CBS in the Kerry Post-Primary league finals in Lewis Road on Friday. Two games took place at the same time giving all players valuable game time on the day.

Tralee CBS took the honours in the main pitch with both sides evenly balanced the greater physical strength of the Tralee lads proved decisive over a gallant St Brendans team.

The top pitch hosted a cracking game with the St Brendans College forward unit combining well goals scored proved decisive in the finish.

Well done to all management teams and players for giving a large attendance great enjoyment on the day.
