DENNY PREMIER A Listowel Celtic 4 Tralee Dynamos 3

LISTOWEL Celtic hosted Tralee Dynamos at Pat Kennedy Park on Sunday and they appeared to be in big trouble trailing 2-0 at half time with David O’Connor and Danny Roche scoring for Dynamos.

However the Fealesiders turned in a great second half performance and goals from Ashley Kelliher (2) and Darragh Sheehy (2) gave them the three precious points and moves them a step closer to a possible league final place.

It is a three-way tie at the top of Premier A after the weekend’s results with Killarney Athletic, Killarney Celtic and Listowel Celtic all on 33 points after 15 games while Dingle are 4 points behind with a game in hand.

Fenit are not out of the equation either but their prospects were dented by this defeat to Killarney Celtic last Sunday and they will need the top contenders to drop points if they are to remain in the title race.

There are some huge games over the next couple of weeks when all the heavyweights meet each other so there is an awful lot still to be played for before the finalists in this division are known and there is a strong possibility that there could be play-offs along the way.

Fenit Samphires 0 Killarney Celtic 5

THIS was a huge game in the title race out by the seaside and it was Killarney Celtic who took the spoils with relative ease against a disappointing Fenit side. Chris O’Leary, Wayne Sparling , Matt Keane, Anthony O’Leary and Conor McCarthy scored for the winners.

Celtic still have a few big games to play including the town derby against Killarney Athletic and with both sides deadlocked at the top of the table this game is an eagerly awaited showdown at Woodlawn next Sunday.

DENNY PREMIER B Camp United 1 Castleisland B 0

CAMP United threw a dampener on Castleisland’s chances of getting to the league final with a 1-0 victory.

Castleisland were without a few regulars for the game but they know that four points from their remaining two home games will put them in the decider.

If Castleisland are crowned champions they cannot be promoted as their A side is already in Premier A and a club cannot have two sides in the same division.

This would mean that the third placed team would be promoted as well as the second placed.
