KILLARNEY MARATHON

The Lakes of Killarney Marathon & Half Marathon took place on Saturday the 13th May in Killarney National Park. This is undoubtedly one of the most scenic races in the country. As always the event was very well organised by Alan and his team. Thomas Bubendorfer was our sole representative in the Marathon, finishing in a very credible 12th place. While in the Half, we had Roland Eager (5th), Gillian Murphy (2nd Senior Female), Stephen Griffin, Anne Gabbett & Siobhan Falvey. Special congratulations has to go to Gillian & Anne who took part in their first half marathon, with excellent times by both.

MUNSTER SCHOOLS

The South Munster Schools Track & Field Championships took place recently in CIT, with secondary level girls representing their schools. Congratulations to Kerry Eager (ISC Killorglin) who was the county’s only medal winner in the Minor Girls, winning silver in the 800m. Congratulations also to Fiona Doyle (ISC Killorglin), who won gold in the Intermediate 200m

CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to Lola Eager, who was part of the county team that took bronze in the U13 Cross Country at the All Ireland National Finals which were held in Abbottstown recently

TRAINING

Juvenile training takes place every Saturday at the Dragons Den, Killorglin from 11am to 12pm. Fit4life every Monday, Wednesday & Friday @ 7.30pm from the church carpark in Beaufort.
