1. LET’S WALK AND TALK IN TRALEE

A FREE 5km walk will take place in Ballyseedy Woods at 3pm on Sunday May 21 with the walk set to be in support of the Green Ribbon campaign, a campign designed to get people talking about mental health.

The walk is suitable for people of all ages, including buggies and dogs - here’s hoping for some good weather!

2. HIT THE ROAD FOR SCHOOL CYCLE

BARRADUFF National School will host its 6th annual fundraisin­g cycle this coming Sunday May 21 with the school encouragin­g as many people as possible to register on the day.

The route will be 80km long and will go through Barraduffm Kilgarvan, Kenmare, Molls Gap, Killarney and back to Barraduff.

Registrati­on on the day is from 7:30am to 9:30am - adults will cost €20 and €15 for students.

3. LISTOWEL FLAG DAY FOR CHARITY

THE MS Society Listowel and North Kerry branch will hold a day of live music this Friday May 19.

The event will be based in the small square and will feature live music all day from a number of local musicians - all of whom will be donating their time freely.

All the money donated on the day will be kept in the area and will be used to help those in the area with MS.

4. CROSS TO THE OTHERSIDE

THE second ‘Otherside’ chat show style will be taking place in Benners Hotel in Tralee this coming Friday May 19 with a number of guests lined up to keep you entertaine­d throughout the night.

This is a free admission event so if you are in and around area, do be sure to pop in!

5. 30 YEARS FOR CASTLEISLA­ND SCHOOL

CASTLEISLA­ND Community College will celebrate their 30 year aanniversa­ry this coming Friday May 19 with all past puils and staff members welcome.

The night will run from 6pm to 9 pm and it promises to be a wonderful evening of nostalgia!

6. IT’S TIME FOR THE FLEADH CHEOIL!

THE Fleadh Cheoil Chiarraí will be held in Tralee from today Wednesday May 17 until Sunday May 21 and like all Fleadh Cheoil’s - it promises to be an amazing showpece

The opening concert for the Fleadh will take place in the Rose Hotel at 8pm on Wednesday May 17.

7. COFFEE MORNING AND BEAUTY TIPS

THE Expose Beauty Lounge and Hair Studio in Mounthawk will host a coffee morning with a difference this coming Thursday May 18.

Along with that esential morning cofee, there will also be lots of styling tips from stylist Danny Leane from Annburys Tralee; the morning will from from 10am -12pm.

8. KILLARNEY CELTIC TABLE QUIZ

KILLARNEY Celtic are getting set to host a fundraisin­g table quiz in aid of Barnados this coming Friday May 19.

The night will start at 9pm in the Killarney Venue with a table of 4 set to cost €30

9. GET EXERCISING THIS SATURDAY

MAY is here and we hope that people are keeping active as we head into the summer months; why not try to head down to the Tralee Town Park this coming Saturday morning and take part in the weekly park run?

The 5km run/walk is completely free of charge and

is a great way to start your weekend. The morning starts at 9:30am sharp every Saturday, so make sure that you pop down on the morning and try it out.

10. ENJOY DANCING IN AID OF CHARITY

THE Chernobyl Children’s Fund in Tralee is getting set to host their weekly social dance nights in the Grand Hotel this month, all in aid of a very worthy cause.

The dances at the hotel start at 9pm every Wednesday night and run until 11:30pm; the cost of entry for each night is set at €8.

The line up for the month is as follows: May 17 (Peter Burke) and May 24 (Micheal Sexton).
