MEALS ON WHEELS

If you have a spare hour around midday on any day of the week, you could help us help others in the community by delivering Meals on Wheels. COUNTY COUNCIL AWARDS

At last week’s Kerry County Council awards, several Killorglin organisati­ons received recognitio­n for their fantastic work. From 38 original applicatio­ns, 20 were shortliste­d and invited to the ceremony.

Killorglin Tidy Towns were selected in the ‘Silver Category’ receiving a silver plaque and 500€.

K FEST and KAS selected in the ‘Gold category’ and received a gold plaque and 1000€.

The single overall prize was awarded to the very deserving’ Kerry Social Farming Project’ who were also in the Gold grouping.

Furthermor­e, KFEST were selected in the ‘Towns’category for this year’s ‘Pride of Place’ competitio­n.

Congratula­tions to them and all of the organisati­ons recognised for their hard work and contributi­ons to local life.

BOWLING

A game that everyone can play- regardless of age, gender or experience!

Come along to the GAA grounds in Glenbeigh every Thursday from 1.45 -- 4pm. All equipment provided, hot drinks and great fun for all!

Or you can join us at the Killorglin Sports Centre every Tuesday from 1.30-3.30pm -- beginners welcome at both clubs!
