STRICTLY RETURNS TO LOCAL STAGE

-

THE event managers at Scoil Muire Gan Smál and Castleisland Desmonds Ladies GAA Club are dancing again this year.

And they’re delighted to announce the return of their giant / joint Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser for a third year.

The club will use the money towards its ongoing running costs and the school intends using the money to furnish the Autism Unit and to purchase and install a new CCTV security system.

Mary Philpott is the choreographer in charge again this year and is busy putting the 26 dancers or 13 partnerships through their paces.

Each dancer is currently selling her / his voting cards and the dancers with the most votes sold will be crowned the ‘public winners’ and the judges will pick their winning couple on the night.

The organising committee members are very grateful to all the business people who have given sponsorship to the event and the committee very much appreciate the huge effort put in by all the dancers!

“This year we have a mother and daughter dancing. Amy and Breda Reidy and a father and daughter, Phil and Aisling O’Connell.

While others, who were involved last year, like Seán O’Connell – who enjoyed it so much that he’s back for more this year,” said event spokesperson and Muire Gan Smál Principal, Leona Twiss.
