Phil Coulter set for Moyvane church concert

-

THE good people of Moyvane parish are getting a helping hand from one of the country’s finest musicians when it comes to repainting their church.

None other than Phil Coulter is lending a hand to the redecorating efforts in the North Kerry village and he’s doing it not by lifting a paintbrush but by performing a concert in the Church of the Assumption, which is set to draw a massive crowd from all over the region.

The man behind Ireland’s Call, Scorn Not His Simplicity and The Town I Loved So Well will take to the Church on Tuesday, June 13, next to perform many of his fans’ favourites.

Parish Priest of Moyvane Fr Gerard McNamara is delighted to welcome everyone to the event with all in the parish asking north Kerry for its support as it undertakes the major redecoration project.

Tickets cost €30 and are now available from Moyvane Parish Office (which can be contacted on (068)49308); Holly’s Gala, Moyvane Post Office, Oonagh Harnett Pharmacy, Listowel, Flying Saucer Cafe, Listowel, Listowel Arms Hotel, Mary Pender Fitzgerald, ((087)6328104), Elizabeth Brosnan ((086) 8417688) and after weekend Masses in Moyvane and Knockanure. “It’s great news that we have managed to get Phil Coulter at such short notice to help us collect the remaining money for the painting of our Church. Phil’s concerts are a big take not only in Ireland but all over the world. It is hoped that there will be a very large attendance at the concert,” a spokesperson for the parish said.
