How to get involved in ‘Ring of Kerry’ 2017

-

THIS will be the 34th consecutive staging of the cycle, and the 180-kilometre Saturday July 1 event will bring thousands of leisure cyclists from all over Kerry, Ireland, and beyond.

Last year’s cycle raised more than €1.7millionfor charities, with some 10,000 taking part, and this year’s event has attracted similar attention.

“There has a brilliant response to the beneficiary charities involved in the cycle this year,” event organisers said.

“Temple Street Foundation, Camphill Community Dingle, Down Syndrome Ireland, Derrynane Inshore Rescue Services, and Recovery Haven are all at full capacity for registrations, and they deserve it because these charities work tirelessly to provide support and services to the people of Kerry and across Ireland.

“Although there are limited places remaining, cyclists can still register to cycle on behalf of the remaining, equally worthy charities: Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre; Talbot Grove; Social Action Group Rathmore; Kerry Parents and Friends Association; and Valentia Island Hospital
