Where to stash the cash

-

SIR, Spare a thought for the minority who are burdened with the problem of what to do with a troublesome amount of money. In olden days one could stuff an amount behind the bath or under the mattress, but nowadays such hidey holes are not big enough to take the quantities we’re talking about. As for putting it in the bank: well you see how banks can collapse and anyway their interest is ludicrous.

Even if the hard pressed brethren were to stump up some morally due income tax, they would still have the challenge of what to do with the remaining shed loads.

The answer is in the past: do what the pirates did and bury the loot in one of the many paradise islands around the globe. Sincerely,

Ted O’Keeffe, Ranelagh,

Dublin.
