Tucking in to the annual Big Coffee Morning in Killarney

TEA, coffee and cake flowed last Saturday morning at the Killarney Royal Hotel for the annual Big Coffee Morning which attracted more than 400 people through the doors of the hotel.

The two organisers of the Big Coffee Morning, Ann Marie O’Leary and Tara O’Donoghue, were on hand to pass out refreshments and sell raffle tickets for the fundraiser which brought the local community together.

This year’s chosen charity was Crumlin Children’s Hospital and once again the Big Coffee Morning delivered for its chosen charity with thousands raised by the people of Killarney and further afield for this very worthy cause.

This is the third year of the event and for the past two years it has been a huge boost to MS Ireland South Kerry. This year it was decided to support Crumlin Children’s Hospital where many Kerry children are being treated.

“We wouldn’t be able to raise the money that this event achieves every year without the continued support from the Killarney Royal Hotel, sponsors and the whole community who once again came out in large numbers to support another worthy cause,” said Ann Marie this week.

A host of sweet treats along with warm cups of tea and coffee were consumed as neighbours and friends met up to help a very worthy cause. The huge raffle, with plenty of prizes, helped boost funds and was also due to the huge local support for the cause.
