DRINK DRIVING CONVICTION FOR MOVING CAR:
A KILLORGLIN chef who moved his car after drinking because he felt it was parked awkwardly was convicted and fined for driving with excess alcohol. Cyril Wilson, 45 Iveragh Park, Killorglin, was fined €250 and disqualified from driving for three years for the offence at Mill Car Park, Annadale Road, Killorglin, on December 27, 2016. The court heard that Mr Wilson had drove to town and parked his car awkwardly. He had gone to the pub and when he was going home he saw the car was parked dangerously and decided to move it to the car park. Mr Wilson was found to have a reading of 236 mg of alcohol per 100mls urine. Solicitor Brendan Bradley said his client was a student chef aged 29 years. The solicitor asked for the disqualification to be postponed on the grounds that his client would have to move to Tralee where he was studying because of the disqualification.
