Just a few weeks away now, it’s a meeting promising the quintessential Listowel racing experience as ever – great race action in a fantastic setting.
‘Serious racing, serious fun and sensational Summer style’ is how the June meeting is being billed this year – three guaranteed facets of the one racing experience for all who make the trip to the Island.
Taking place on Sunday, June 3, and Monday, June 4, it also coincides with the annual Writer’s Week Festival, leading to a great June Bank Holiday Weekend in Listowel when the weather plays its part as it often does on this particular weekend.
In addition to top quality National Hunt and Flat Racing, the Race committee has organised music after racing each evening.
One of the highlights of the weekend meeting is, of course, Ladies Day - taking place on the Sunday.
Award-winning soprano, model and social media star Sinead O’Brien – the hugely popular writer and fashionista behind the Sinead’s Curvy Style blog. There is a total prize fund of €5,000 for Ladies’ Day, sponsored by the businesses and publicans of Listowel town.
