Listowel set for 20 new jobs as it opens a new Iceland store
A TOTAL of 20 new jobs are set for Listowel as food retailer Iceland opens its second store in the county on Tuesday next week.
Located in units one and two of Old Mill Lane, the store will open on May 22.
The store covers 8,200 square feet and will provide items such as groceries; and frozen and fresh foods.
The chain’s first Kerry store opened in the Horan Centre, Boherbue, Tralee in 2015.
“Three years after opening in Tralee, it’s fantastic to be back in the Kingdom to open our second Kerry store,” Iceland Ireland Managing Director Ron Metcalfe said.
“We have had a great response from customers shopping at the Tralee store over the last few years and are delighted to now bring Iceland’s great quality and great value products to the Listowel community.”
The store will be open seven days a week: from 8am to 8pm from Mondays to Wednesdays, and Saturday; from 8am to 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays; and from 10am to 7pm.
“We are very excited to open the new Listowel store on May 22 and to show the people in this region of Kerry all that Iceland has to offer,” Listowel store manager Anthon Russell said.
