15 TDs, coun­cil­lors and sen­a­tors sign up for ‘no’ vote

FIANNA Fáil Coun­cil­lor John Joe Cul­loty – who is the Chair­man of the Kerry Right to Life group – has is­sued an open let­ter on be­half of 15 Kerry TDs, sen­a­tors and coun­cil­lors who, Cllr Cul­loty said, plan to vote ‘No’ in the up­com­ing ref­er­en­dum on the Eighth Amend­ment.

The let­ter – which was is­sued by e-mail – reads as fol­lows: “This e-mail is from Kerry Pub­lic Rep­re­sen­ta­tives vot­ing ‘No’ in the up­com­ing ref­er­en­dum on the Eighth Amend­ment.”

“We, the un­der­signed, given the pro­posed leg­is­la­tion upon re­peal, will be vot­ing ‘No’, in or­der to sup­port the right to life of the un­born, with due re­gard to the equal right to life of the mother.” Signed:
