KENMARE SHORT MAT BOWLS FUN DAY
On Thursday 28th June, 12 members of the Killorglin and Glenbeigh Bowls Clubs travelled to Kenmare to take part in their annual fun day. Despite this being hottest day of the year so far, a great day was had by all, culminating in three of our local players winning medals: Eileen MacGillycuddy received a silver medal as a runner up in the final of the Gold Shield; Hannah Clifford and Pat O=92Brien received Gold medals as part of the winning team in the Silver shield competition.
Short Mat Bowls is a game that everyone can play- regardless of age, gender or experience! Come along to the GAA grounds in Glenbeigh every Thursday from 1.45 -- 4pm. All equipment provided, hot drinks and great fun for all! Or you can join us at the Killorglin Sports Centre every Tuesday from 1.30-3.30pm -- be- ginners welcome at both clubs!
