KILLARNEY LEGION

-

Legion U16 Girls played their East Kerry Division 1 final v Firies at Spa under lights last Wednesday evening. Firies got off to a flying start going into a 2-2 to nil lead. As we have seen all year with this group, they dug deep and clawed their way back into the game coming to within a point of Firies but the opposition tagged another goal and a pt to leave the half time score Firies 4-6 to Legion 3-4. The second half proved very tight with scores hard fought for and Firies eventually forged into a 9 pt lead which would prove too much to overcome. To be fair to our Legion ladies, they never gave up and fought to the bitter end, getting some momentum going but they ran out of time in the end. Final Score Firies 4-12; Legion 4-7.
