Noel and Noreen celebrate their 40th anniversary

-

THE former Lúb Bar holds dear held memories of great and good times for us. It was a public house where all classes, creeds and opinions were tolerated in an environment of ’’Dáil’’ privilege.

Noel Lynch took over the premises from his parents, Patrick and Mollie Lynch, who operated it as a grocery and butcher shop. He and his Cahersiveen wife, Noreen (née O’Connor) ran it as a public house from 1975 to about 2000. Today, the neighbouring Ring Lyne across the river from the Lúb is the sole village pub.

Noel and Noreen Lynch recently held their 40th wedding anniversary in the neighbouring Ring Lyne Bar across the river in Chapeltown, in which family, friends and neighbours gathered for a night of song, dance and reminiscence. Congratulations to Noel and Noreen.
