GIRLS LEAGUE Under 12 Premier

NAOISE O’Donoghue put league leaders Inter Kenmare ahead in their home game against Killarney Celtic Green. However, Maggie McCarthy equalised to give both sides a point each. Inter still lead the way on seven points.

Listowel Celtic were just a little too strong for Fenit who had good performances from Emer O’Sullivan and Muireann O’Brien. But goals from Lisa Slattery, Laura Falvey, Emile Browne, Sinead Lyons, Niamh Kelliher and Molly Boyle gave Listowel Celtic the three points.

There was a huge crowd for the MEK Starz v MEK Kickerz derby. And it proved to be a cracker with the sides sharing eight goals.

Izzy McGrath hit three and Kate McCann one for the Kickerz, while April Rooney (two) and Keeva Riordan had the Starz well in touch and then a last minute equaliser by Kayla Roche ensured a fair share of the points.

THIS division is finely balanced with three sides on six points.

Listowel Celtic took the first points of the week as they defeated Castleisland. Kelly Enright was in top form hitting four for Celtic with Ciara Henderson just one behind and Lily Twoomey getting the other goal.

They followed this up with an away win on Saturday as they travelled to Camp Juniors and won 4-2. Enright this time got two more with Ciara Henderson and Lily Twomey on the mark again. Orla O’Connor and Finolla Casey replied for Camp.

Killarney Celtic are also on six points after they defeated Fenit who are new to this level. Celtic had the damage done in the first half and overall goals from Fiana Bradley 3, Ava O’Malley, Elizabeth Coffey, Leah McMahon and Lucy O’Sullivan gave them the points.

Inter Kenmare are also on six points, but didn’t play.

LISTOWEL Celtic took the midweek points as they were a little too strong for Fenit thanks to Melanie Higgins who hit four goals and Tara Enright who got three.

It was much tighter in the game between Killarney Athletic and Inter Kenmare with the visitors to Woodlawn winning 3-1. Sarah Taylor, Katie Cronin and an own goal gave Inter the win.

Athletic went 1-0 up in the first half through Lily Foley but Inter got their goals early in the second half. Led by Lily Foley and Caoilinn O’Donoghue Athletic pushed for an equaliser but Inter held out.
