CAHERCIVEE­N MENS SHED

Cahersivee­n Men’s Shed is located at the rear of the IDA estate on Valentia Road and is open daily. All men welcome to join. Drop in anytime to see what is on offer. We have a full size snooker table, T.V., Kitchen, Worksho & Gym. Keep fit classes on Tues. & Friday at 10am. Some of us call them the get fit classes. It is a good group who have great fun doing workouts that are suitable for all levels of fitness. Also other classes on from time to time. Card games held regularly on winter evenings also. Call in and see us, all new members welcome.

AUTUMN AMBLES

We have had 3 lovely walks to date and a good mix of people joined us. We meet every Wednesday at 10am at the Old Library (Cahersivee­n Community Resource Centre) to car pool. Walks are about 2 hours at an easy going pace to suit all. It is a friendly group so expect plenty of chat. The routes so far have been the Kimego Wood Loop, Emlagh Loop and Filemore to town along the Kerry Way. All welcome to join us for one or all of our walks. Comfortabl­e shoes, hiking boots are best, for cross country walking with some small hills. The sun has shone on us so far but you would be advised to bring a rainjacket and waterproof trousers just in case. Contact Gerry on 086-8587680 for further informatio­n.
