Masses for people who died during the year and who were buried from the churches in the Parish will take place on the following dates: Firies on Fri 16th Nov at 7.30pm and Ballyhar on Fri 23rd Nov at 7.30pm.

Ballyhar/Firies Community Care Lunch will take place on Friday 9th November at 1.00pm in the Marian Hall. You are welcome to come along it’s a social occasion and an opportunit­y to meet the neighbours.

BALLYHAR DYNAMOS FC

TEAMS - Our u9s/10s recently made the trip to Camp Juniors where they engaged in mini games with the locals. Many thanks to Camp FC & the coaches/parents of our teams for making the journey.On saturday last our u13s fell short in a 7 goal cracker at murt scott park to Dingle Bay Rovers going down 4-3.

We trailed 3-2 at half time with a double strike from the excellent Aaron o Sullivan.Aaron completed his hat trick mid way through the second half but with the game heading for a draw Dingle got the winner nearing full time. Best on the day were Aaron o Sullivan , Colm Riordan, Michael o Sullivan & Daithi o Shea.

Our u15s made the trip to Killarney Athletic in a premier division tie being defeated 6-3. The game was tied at 2-2 at half time with goals from Hugh o Malley & luke Ring.Hugh o Malley added his second at the three quarter stage making it a 5-3 game. The home team scored late to secure the 6-3 win.Best on the day along with the goal scorers were Conall o Mahony , Jack Costello, Declan o Connor, Aaron Burke, James Horgan & luke Costello.Our youths travelled to St Brendans park Tralee in our first time entering the Munster Youths Cup where we were defeated 3-1 in a game which saw us have alot of possession and a number of goal chances.

We trailed 1-0 at half time . With 15 minutes remaining the industriou­s Patrick o Connor scored to make it a 3-1 game & with lots of pressure being applied by our boys we could not get the second to make a game of it.In a good squad performanc­e best on the day were Cian Ring, James o Leary, Patrick o Connor, Harry Doody, Conor, Henderson & Martin Foley
