CHURCH NEWS

Currow Church renovation­s: The Parish has received planning permission from Kerry County Council for the works in the church. The tender documents are being finalised and issued in the next couple of weeks. The work will begin early in the New Year.

Final collection for World Meeting of Families 2018 and the visit of Pope Francis will be held on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November. All the dioceses of Ireland committed to funding it. Budgeting and fundraisin­g was successful. The overall cost was twenty million euro. At this stage it is 80% paid for.

Killeentie­rna Parish November Dues Envelopes: for those who do not have a box of Parish envelopes are available in both churches.

Cemetery November Prayer Service: St Michael=92s, Killeentie­rna on Sunday, 11 November at 2pm. New Ardcrone on Sunday, 25 at 2pm.

November Remembranc­e Masses for the recent dead: A Mass for those whose funerals took place in Currow Church during the past year will be held in Currow Church this Friday, 9 November at 7.30pm. A Mass for those whose funerals took place in Currans Church will be held in Currans Church on Friday, 23 November at 7.30pm.

Eucharisti­c Adoration in Currow Parish Centre every Tuesday from 9.30am to 9pm and in Currans Sacristy every Thursday from 6-9pm.

Anam Cara Kerry the organisati­on that supports bereaved parents, is holding a parent evening on Tuesday, 13 November at 7.20pm in Recovery Haven, 5 Haig’s Terrace, Killierisk, Tralee. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstan­ces of their death, or whether their death was recent or not.
