CLUB OF THE YEAR

Congratulations to everyone in Killarney Swimming Club! Swim Ireland has decided that all of us are the winners of the Munster Club of the Year Award for 2018. Further, we have now been short-listed for the overall Club of the Year Award.

This is a major achievement for our club and is a mark of how far our young swimmers have progressed in just six short years and the respect in which they are held by the swimming community in Ireland. Everyone has played their part, both past and present members, but a special mention must go to Mike O’Sullivan (the driving force behind the club), Cathal O’Brien (our inspirational lead-coach) and our two Club Secretaries to date (who, lets face it, do all the hard work) Denise Casey and Samantha O’Connor.

The presentation ceremony takes place at the Swim Ireland Awards in the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon, Co. Clare on the 24th of November. If you are travelling, hit the road early -- the traffic from Kerry will be heavy!
