DEATH

The death has taken place of John Fitzgerald, Sunset House. His remains were removed from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home to St. Finian’s Church on Tuesday 30th October.

His funeral mass was celebrated at 11am on Wednesday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. John is survived by his wife Pat, sons Vincent, Maurice & Declan; daughters Esther & Carmel; son-in-law John; daughters-in-law Mary Ann, Joanne & Tiffany; grand-children Dominick, David, Madeleine, Honor, Seán & Kathleen; sisters Maureen & Nancy; sister-in-law Peggy; brotherin-law Ted; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to whom we offer our sincere sympathy. WWI MEMORIAL SERVICE

On Sunday November 11th, to mark the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day that ended World War One, a memorial service will be held for the fifty or so killed, and those that served in that conflict from this region. The special ecumenical service will be held in St. Michael and All Angels Church in Waterville at 10.30am. A special memorial Plaque to those killed will be unveiled following memorial service. All are welcome.
