Christmas Food Fair at Garvey’s SuperValu, Castleisland Dec 4th
THE Garvey’s SuperValu Christmas Food Fair has grown in recent years to become a major event in the lead up to Christmas. Staples like value, service and quality are the hallmarks of what Garvey’s offer its customers all year round, but Christmas is a time for recognising and appreciating customers and local suppliers.
Tuesday, December 4 is the date of this year’s Garvey’s SuperValu Christmas Food Fair and it promises to be another enjoyable day. It starts at 5pm and the evening will have a festive feel to it thanks to a selection of choir singers from the local schools. Visitors that evening can enjoy a cooking demonstration with Mark Doe in store.
“We’ll be showcasing the best of our in-store meat, fruit & veg, bakery and deli products. Promoting local suppliers and recognising the important role they play in supplying food and creating jobs will also be celebrated,” said Store Manager, Seamus O’Connor.
Garvey’s SuperValu are renowned for their commitment to supporting local projects, charities and sporting organisations. They are current sponsors of the St Mary’s Ladies’ Basketball team, while they’re also supporting the Christmas hampers for the Castleisland Golf Club competition. Garvey’s have also supported local GAA teams in the locality for years.
“This is a major event for us and the people of Castleisland really support it. It’s an opportunity for us to showcase the vast range of products from our small suppliers, who are an integral part of Garvey’s success. It’s in the Garvey’s DNA to support local and we appreciate our customers and thank them for their loyalty throughout the year,” said Seamus.
