-

THE team at An Riocht Health and Leisure Club are always off to a flyer at Christmas. The annual Rudolph Run 5k takes place on Sunday, December 9 at 11am. This is always a fun event with a firm festive feel making it a perfect family day out.

On Christmas Day An Riocht will host it’s ‘Go a Mile’ event for GOAL. It’s a great opportunity to stay active on Christmas morning. Don’t forget to pop along to the track for a run or walk. You can donate, if you wish, to GOAL. Contact An Riocht for details.

Christmas is also a good time to start preparing for a new year/new you philosophy. People already have one eye fixed on January and the promise of losing those holiday pounds and getting in shape for a new year. An Riocht is always a step ahead in this regard and they are offering their Mega Deal membership sale on December 12. This is an opportunity to avail of a 12 month membership for just €250 (normally €400), which includes the use of the track, access to the gym, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room. Moreover, An Riocht are also offering a 12-month Student/OAP membership deal for €200 (reduced from €295).

Hazel Byrne is the Manager at An Riocht Health and Leisure Club and she says the whole aim of promoting An Riocht is get as any many people as possible in the community using what is a wonderful facility.

“We have some fantastic facilities here which, in essence, is a first class fitness and health centre. Our track is of a very high quality and is well accustomed to hosting plenty of activity events and different programmes. You can keep active here over the Christmas period, while also setting new targets for yourself in time for January and the New Year,” said Hazel.
