Serious assault in Kenmare housing estate
GARDAÍ are investigating a serious assault in a housing estate in Kenmare town on
Saturday night.
It is understood that a number of men arrived at the house of the victim at
Landsdowne Village and began to assault the male, who fled the scene.
Gardaí were alerted to the assault, and they responded along with the ambulance. The scene was cordoned off and technically examined.
The victim’s injuries are not understood to be life-threatening, and he managed to escape his attackers. The attackers also fled the scene, and no arrests had been made at time of print.
Superintendent Flor Murphy confirmed that gardaí are investigating the serious incident, which is understood to have upset many of those living in the quiet estate.
They are appealing to the public for any information on the incident, and anyone with information is asked to contact either Kenmare or Killarney Gardaí.
