Christmas walk on the Great Southern Trail

THE annual Christmas Walk along the Great Southern Trail Greenway is to take place on Thursday, December 27 in welcome news for all who regularly ramble along it.

Assembly will be at the large carpark behind Leen’s Hotel in Abbeyfeale, between 12.30pm and 1.30pm with walkers to be transferred by bus to the Tullig Wood/Devon Road from where they will have a choice of either a 9km or 7km stroll, mostly along the old railway, back to Leen’s Hotel for mince pies, whipped cream and tea/ coffee at their leisure.
