Early morning racing to satisfy early bettors

-

WHO wants to go greyhound racing early in the morning? Well, they’re going to be doing just that at Kilkenny and Waterford tracks through the staging of new SIS meetings.

The first races at both venues will be at 8.18am and, whatever about the enthusiasm of patrons in those parts, the important thing from the point of view of SIS is that the racing will be streamed live into more than 4,000 betting offices in the UK, with the service, of course, also available to online operatives and Irish betting offices, though the latter won’t be open for the early races (Amen to that!).

Owners and trainers everywhere are well used to getting up very early in the morning and the latest SIS meetings are welcome grist to the mill for those of them racing at Waterford and Kilkenny, but imagine being in a betting office somewhere in Great Britain and waiting for the 8.18am races from those venues to begin.

Not to be envied, those punters, surely.
