Visit the enchanting Festive Hall at Kerry County Museum...

-

IT might sound like the oldest cliché in the book, but Kerry County Museum is a gift that keeps giving the whole year round for the community it serves. It’s a building with a rich history that has always, in essence, belonged to the people of Tralee.

As well as being a repository for historical exhibitions and home to some of the county’s ancient artefacts, it’s the interactive events that it hosts throughout the year that make it a truly invaluable community resource. Christmas is no exception and the countdown is now on to ‘The Festive Hall’ which is set to enchant children and adults alike over the next few weeks. Christmas is a season for delightful fun-filled experiences that the whole family can enjoy. Thankfully, this is a view also shared at Kingdom County Museum who are laying on a host of cheery characters that will come to life from Christmas tales, old and new, to take you on a captivating tour of its magical hall.

There will be lots of fun and games with the guides as they escort you to meet the man himself, Santa Claus. Santa will, of course, have a little gift for every child that comes to see him as he likes nothing better than posing for photos with visitors.

The Festive Hall dates and schedule is as follows: Saturday and Sunday (Dec 8-9) Saturday and Sunday (Dec 15-16). The final events will take place on Saturday and Sunday (Dec 22-23). Guided tours every halfhour each day. First tour at 11am, last tour at 6pm.

Wheelchair and sensory friendly slots are available on Saturday, Dec 9 at 10:00am. Saturday, Dec 15 at 10:00am, and Sunday, Dec 23 at 10:00am.
