Tralee Imperials and Kerry Hospice team up for another marathon event

SATURDAY, December 15 is a date for the diary as Tralee Imperials hosts another exciting basketball marathon in aid of Kerry Hospice and the club. If you happen to have a sweet tooth, as well as a love for basketball, then you’re in for a double treat. On the day the club’s annual cake sale will be held, while donning Santa hats will add some festive flair to the on court action.

Basketball is on the crest of a wave right now in Tralee as the game goes from strength to strength. Tralee Imperials are an important part of this story being one of Tralee’s top clubs with vibrant underage and senior structures in place. The club will welcome primary school children from St. Brendan’s NS Blennerville and Scoil Eoin Balloonagh, who took part in the recent Jr. NBA programme.

Last year’s marathon was a huge success and it’s all down to a combination of skill and fun. It’s a great end of year jam for Imperials and it all takes place at Mounthawk Gym. The action starts at 8:30am and runs until 6:30pm.
