Search for missing Eavan underway in Listowel
Family ‘very concerned’ for safety of missing woman
GARDAÍ assisted by search and rescue teams began mounting a search of the greater Listowel area for missing local woman Eavan Murphy on Tuesday.
The missing persons investigation was still in operation at the time of press on Tuesday evening.
Eavan Murphy (whose first name is pronounced Yvonne) was last seen in Listowel on Saturday morning.
She is described as 5’2” in height, of medium build with brown hair. Ms Murphy was wearing a white ‘GAP’ jumper and black trousers when last seen on Saturday.
A pharmacist employed in Lixnaw village, Ms Murphy is 37 years of age.
Gardaí have ruled out a number of reported sightings on investigation since the weekend with a search operation mounted on Tuesday focusing on her home town.
Gardaí in Listowel renewed calls for the assistance of the public in the investigation.
“We would ask anyone who can be of assistance to contact us at Listowel Garda Station,” a spokesperson for the Listowel division said.
