The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition)

From Bally to Listowel and Abbeyfeale, the lights go on for season of goodwill

-

ALL across the land, towns and villages are lighting up decorations in that warm spectacle that can only mean the season of goodwill is upon us. From Ballylongford to Listowel and Abbeyfeale, great crowds of families were out in force to celebrate – not least in Ballylongford, where the village reckons it can boast of the biggest Christmas tree in the Kingdom. Carol singing, music, dancing, mulled wine and prizes galore completed the scene in Bally. Organisers thanked all who supported the event, including local businesses, residents and Kerry County Council. Best of all, Santa managed to make an appearance at all events.
