Keeping Christmas in Killorglin this year

-

THE Killorglin Chamber Alliance is an organisation that prides itself on doing the best it can for Killorglin and this is a time of year when it makes most sense to support local stores, pubs and restaurants as the long gap until the tourist seasons arrives again can seem an age away.

All rural towns must work that bit harder in order to maintain their character and general wellbeing which can be achieved in many different ways. But maintaining a vibrant local economy is an important component as it helps to create employment which in turn leads to the occupancy of more houses, fuller schools, sports clubs, and drama clubs.

Christmas is a time of year when people can do their utmost to ensure the vibrancy of their town by spending local as often and whenever they can. By keeping Christmas in Killorglin you’ll not only be helping to create an atmosphere, but also maintaining and creating jobs where they matter most, at home.

“Spending local can keep an entire community going and this is vital. Every shop you help to keep open has longterm benefits for the community as people will settle in the area,” said a spokesperson for Killorglin Chamber Alliance.

“Christmas is also an important time for the Chamber as it allows us to say thank you to all the people who support us throughout the year. Killorglin is a fantastic town to celebrate Christmas in as it’s a central, mid Kerry location which means everyone can travel to its fabulous award winning restaurants and pubs to celebrate Christmas in style.”
