Fr Ray Kelly to add some festive cheer to Nagle Rice Community Hall...

-

THE Nagle Rice Community Hall is to host a special Christmas treat on Thursday, December 20 when Fr Ray Kelly - The Singing Priest – performs. Tickets are selling fast for this one off as Fr Ray, of Britain’s Got Talent fame, will be supported by Eddie Lee, Noreen Ash, and Killorglin Men’s Shed Choir.

The popular priest creates a cross generational appeal in his choice of music and this is being billed as a perfect pre-Christmas event for all the family.

The concert will double as a fundraising event to raise money towards reducing the current depth of the Nagle Rice Community Hall. The latter is a focal point for people of all ages in Milltown and its surrounding localities.

The centre’s doors are open to hosting community events seven days a week, all year round. By purchasing a ticket, you’ll not only enjoy a great evening’s entertainment, but will also be contributing towards raising funds for a vital community resource.

“This is something that we thought would be nice for Christmas. It will be our first concert in the hall and we’re excited about it,” said Don Myers, Chairperson of The Nagle Rice Community Centre.

Don added that Fr Ray fits the bill perfectly for Christmas as he is a very well respected artist whose choice of music appeals to all ages. Moreover, Don praised the people behind the hall itself, which has proven to be a huge resource.

“We need to be very open about how important this hall is. It’s in full flight and is constantly in use. Tickets are going fast and they are readily available in Milltown and Castlemaine. If people want tickets they can message us on Facebook,” said Don.

Tickets are €15 and doors open at 7:15pm with the show starting at 8pm sharp. For more info and updates, check out Nagle Rice Community Centre and Playground Group’s Facebook page.
