Killorglin see off The Park after extra-time in Munster Youth Cup

MUNSTER YOUTH CUP THIRD ROUND Killorglin 3 The Park 2 (after extra-time)

THERE was a lot at stake in this game with the winner going through to the last 32 knock out stage of the provincial competitio­n. It was a tough encounter played in very testing conditions and with the game ending 2-2 after 90 minutes.

Jack O’Leary and Eoin Clifford scored for Killorglin and Colin Walsh and Mervyn Shalemba scored for The Park. The game then progressed to extra time and Evan Madden banged home the match winner for Killorglin.

Killorglin are away to Cork side Douglas Hall in the last 16.

DENNY YOUTHS LEAGUE Killarney Celtic 1 Mastergeeh­a 1

THE sides had to settle for a share of the spoils in this tight contest. Evan Lyne scored for Celtic while Fionn Houlihan was the Mastergeeh­a scorer.

Killarney Athletic 1 Ballyhar Dynamos 1

KILLARNEY Athletic were 1-0 ahead at the interval with the goal coming from Thomas Cronin. Ballyhar staged a great comeback in the second half with Josh McCarthy scoring a well deserved equaliser in the 65th minute.

Best for Ballyhar Max Walsh, James O’Leary, Brian O’Driscoll, Conor O’Sullivan, Patrick O’Connor, Conor Henderson and Harry Doody.

Listowel Celtic 2 Tralee Dynamos 4

TRALEE Dynamos travelled to Pat Kennedy Park and came away with the three points. Dylan Curtin (2), Patrick Dowling and Adi Cenali scored for the winners.
