THANK YOUS

We here at the Kerry Hospice are so thankfull to all our supporters for your continued support and are so grateful to all who continue to hold events right around the county. We have received a great response to our virtual tree and of course you can continue to sponsor a light in memory of a loved one right up until Christmas Day and beyond.

UPCOMING EVENTS

They are two families in the county lighting up their homes over the Christmas period.

Katie McCabe in Ballyduff has a great job made of her house and is raising funds for the Kerry Hospice/Palliative Care.

The other family is the Purchells in Sunhill, Killorglin have also lit up their house and all funds will go to Killorglin Hospice and Recovery Haven. Both have go fund me pages and can be found on Kerry Hospice Facebook page.

Well done both family they both look great.

BASKETBALL MARATHON

Our good friends in Imperials basket ball will continue their great fundraisin­g on Saturday next in Mouthhawk. The group will hold a bake sale from 104pm and they will also have lucky bags available to buy on the day for all age groups. A huge thank you to all for this great support.

WALK

There is two walks on St Stephen’s Day, one is Davis 9 km road walk starting at 11 am in the Blackwater Tavern.

The second is the walk in Tralee that Michael ‘Fox’ Connor organises every year and will set off from the front of the Brogue. (more info to follow .

CHRISTMAS DAY SWIM

The Portmagee Christmas Day swim will take place again this year and like years past this is always a hugely successful event. Times to follow.

BUS TRIP

The Inch/Annascaul Branch are organising a big event on the 9th of March. A coach convey will take to the road around Slea Head and will be followed by refreshmen­ts and music. Contact miriampden­nehy@gmail.com for informatio­n.

CHEQUE PRESENTATI­ONS

A huge thank you to Tom O’Shea who raised over €3000 in memory of his mom Mary after he ran the Seattle Marathon. A huge well done Tom and we are so grateful to you.

CHEQUE PRESENTATI­ON

The card group from the Castle Bar presented a cheque for €500 after holding card games over the last few weeks. This was done in memory of Alice O Sullivan who was a brilliant card player herself and won this competitio­n before. A huge thank you to you all.

BAG PACKING

We are looking for volunteers for bag packing on the 23rd of December.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE

in St. James’ Church, Dingle on Sunday 16th December at 7pm with St. Mary’s Choir and Dingle Gospel Choir. No admission fee but a donation can be made on the night.

NEW YEARS EVE RUN
