NOVEMBER MASS

The annual Mass for all those who died since November 2017 was held at St. Patricks Church, Kilgarvan on Friday 30th November 2018. At the start of Mass a lighting candle was taken to the altar by a family member for each of the following : Dan Healy, Margaret Donegan, Patrick Callaghan, Diarmuid O’ Donoghue, Denis O’ Sullivan, Margaret Cooper, Dan Joe Quill, Michael Doyle, James Healy, Mary Randles, Helen O’ Sullivan, Aisling O’ Mahony, Noreen O’ Connor, Denis O’ Shea, Michael O’ Halloran, Anna Marie Walsh and Celene Barrett. May they all rest in peace.

DEATH

Peggy Sullivan,Lack, Eyeries, Cork passed away on Saturday 1st December 2018. Peggy is mother of Michael Sullivan who is a CE worker in Rockmount, Kilgarvan. To her children, daughter Mary, sons Nealie, Jerry, Sean, Pat, Michael, Stephen, Martin and Brendan we express our deepest sympathy.

ATHLETICS

Congratulations to Michael O’Reilly who placed 4th in boys U17 Munster B Championship in Riverstick, Co. Cork.

HURLING

Congratulations to Glenn Egan former Kilgarvan hurler who was on the Cloughduv team that won the Munster Junior Hurling Championship last Sunday 2nd December in Mallow, Co. Cork.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Christmas in Kilgarvan 2018. The Christmas lights will be turned on in Kilgarvan village on Saturday December 15th 2018. The Kilgarvan Show Committee would like to invite everyone to join them in Healy Rae’s Lounge where Santa will arrive at 7:00pm sharp. Please note that the Saturday evening Mass will be at the earlier time of 6:00pm. Hot chocolate and mulled wine will be served. Also sweets and treats. All free. The Christmas lights will be turned on at 8:00pm by Father Con Buckley. Please bring your camera. Disco by DJ Kevin Healy Rae. Note: parents must be responsible for their children at all times.
