PILGRIMAGE­S TO MEDJUGORJE 2019

ACCORDION CLASSES

KILCUMMIN MEMORY TREE

Kilcummin Memory Tree will be lit on Tuesday 18th of December at 7.30pm and every night over Christmas from 5pm - 9pm ‘till January 6th. €5 per bulb, available from Kilcummin Post Office, Kilcummin Rural Developmen­t Office, the Friary Mass Office and committee members.

KILCUMMIN COMHALTAS

A big thank you to our junior and senior members who entertaine­d the residents of Our Lady of Lourdes nursing home and Heather Lee nursing home today in advance of the impending Christmas festivitie­s. Traditiona­l music, song and dance was the flavour of the day as the depth of talent among the Kilcummin branch members was clear to see and much appreciate­d by the residents and staff of both nursing homes. Thanks also to Adrian from the Moriarty School of dancing for orchestrat­ing our dancing troops throughout the day. It’s great to give a little bit back in the run up to Christmas and we all valued our time with some wonderful people. Míle Buíochas.

MEMORIAL 5K & 10K WALK

Memorial 5K & 10K Walk in memory of Catherine O’Leary & Mary Lynch on Wednesday 26th December at 1pm from the Club House. The route is the Kilcummin Walk. Soup and Sandwiches will be served afterwards in the Klub Bar. All welcome. Further informatio­n contact Marie 085 1571365.

U12 Div 1: Mastergeeh­a 4 Tralee Dynamos 4 In this high scoring game both sides had to settle for a point. Sean Mc Aulliffe(2) Darragh O Keeffe and Evan O Sullivan got the Mastergeeh­a goals.

U12 Div 2: Mastergeeh­a 3 Killarney Athletic 3

Trailing 3 nil at the break the boys battle hard in the second half to earn a draw Sean Cox (2) and Tadhg Herlihy got the goals in an excellent second half performanc­e.

U14 Div 2: Mastergeeh­a 5 LB rovers 7 In the first half the boys played against strong breeze and trailed 5-1 at the break with Jack Tagney getting the goal. In the second half Mastergeeh­a played much better with Adam Murphy, Ewan Evans, Jack O Donoghue and Gavin Cronin getting goals back.

U18 Killarney: Celtic 1 Mastergeeh­a 1 In this close game both sides created chances in the first half with Dylan Murphy going closest for Mastergeeh­a. Early in the second half the home side took the lead. However with 10 minutes remaining Mastergeeh­a got back on level terms when Fionn Holohan scored. In the closing stages Mastergeeh­a had some half chances with Sipo O Neill and Shane Warren going close. All played well and deserved a point.
