Iveragh edge a thriller with Camp

GIRLS UNDER 12 Premier

THERE were plenty of goals in this division. Iveragh United just came out the right side of a seven-goal encounter against Camp Juniors.

Katie Foster got three and Keelin O’Shea the other goal for the South Kerry girls while Suvi O’Connor was unlucky not to get something for her side after also hit a hat-trick.

Inter Kenmare were too strong for MEK Kickers in Fossa and won thanks to goals from player of the match Sophie Ryan, Alice Granville, Martha O’Sullivan, Klaudia Merchal, Helena O’Donoghue and Phobe O’Shea.

The Killarney Celtic Green and Fenit was another cracker at Celtic Park with the home side just getting the win 3-2. Elisa Deady and Meah Carmody got the goals for Fenit to them 2-1 up at the break, but goals from Jessica Leggate, Kaysey O’Connor and Kate Forde, the Player of the Match, gave Celtic the come-from-behind win. Killarney Celtic White were 3-0 winners over Killarney Athletic

Premier UNDER 16 GIRLS

LISTOWEL Celtic were too strong for the Park who are in their first season in the League. Melanie Higgins, Aisling Kelly, Kelly Enright, Maura O’Keeffe and Aoife Horgan got goals for Listowel Celtic.

Fenit’s hard work on the training ground paid off with their first win in four games thanks to a 2-1 home win over Killarney Athletic. Katie Dwyer equalised for Fenit and Lily Nowak got the winner with ten minutes to go. But they also needed goalkeeper Muireann O’Brien to be in good form to ensure they took all the points.
